Strek's has described his priorities as an LCC Board candidate thusly, "First on the agenda...is addressing family housing needs of students attending college. Strek said he knows a landowner who is willing to use his property for a seven-unit student housing building, but needs help communicating that goal, something Strek wants to facilitate. He called the opportunity “a really solid start,” and said he has paired that with his general advocacy for childcare for student-parents." (from the Register-Guard, May 7, 2019)
